Twin Bridges – April 2, 2018

Weather was a tad better than last year. As a result, twenty-three members turned out for a spectacular show!  You might be interested in this video about the Class J steam locomotive Norfolk and Western 611 on its last run up the Saluda grade which starts at around 1:00 into the movie. It starts to stall at 3:00 and restarts around 6:30.  That is some dirty smoke!

Naturalists Visit Newfoundland – January 19, 2018

Jim Poling was amazed by the geology, history, culture, birds, and wildflowers on his visit to Newfoundland in July 2016. His talking about it encouraged Penny Longhurst to go in July 2017.
