I just spotted a clump of these flowers on my morning walk, along a walking path in Valatie NY. I’ve been an avid observer of natural phenomena all my life. This is the first time I’ve seen this particular flower, just down the path from some white jewel-weed.
Good to hear from you. Yes, they were blue, slightly lighter in color compared to the more familiar garden morning glory. I went back to see them the next in the morning, but they seemed to have finished their blooming period. Happily, I found a smaller group slightly further on the trail I hope they’ll become established. That particular trail is a wealth of wildlife and flora. I’ve seen eagles, many varieties of songbirds, several kinds of turtle, deer, foxes, a bobcat, a beaver lodge (but no beavers visible),and rumors of a resident bear. Every day is a chance to see something new.

Nice. I wonder where they came from. Are they also blue ones?

Yes, a beautiful blue. It was all on the ground, with about a dozen flowers. I’m planning to attempt propagating them. The ivy leaf was very evident.
