Blast From The Past – Hardy Souls & Mystery Walks in 2014 & 2015

This winter we’re going to look at pictures from field trip locations we visited before we created the website. See how many members, places, & plants you recognize. This week, the pictures are from our Hardy Souls Hike up FR 5085 to Grassy Gap on February 21, 2014, Mystery Walks to the Confederate Veterans Memorial Forest & Mt. Hardy trail on May 20 & 26, 2014, a Mystery Walk at Daniel Ridge on May 21, 2015 (I remember that Rattlesnake that Peggy spotted!), & a Mystery Walk on the Sheep Mountain Trail in DuPont on June 6, 2015.

Photography by Ken Borgfeldt & Penny Longhurst.   Botanical plant names seem to change almost every day, but for now we use those approved by ITIS, the Integrated Taxonomic Information System. Plants that are non-native to North America are indicated by an asterisk (*) placed after the species name. Click on any picture to zoom and view the slide show.
