Know Your Plants – Botanical Names Beginning with “A”

Some of us need reminders so we don’t forget all we learned on our field trips this year. We’ll start at the very beginning with plants with botanical names beginning with “A” & see how far we get by the time field trips start next spring!  Enjoy the pictures & see how many of these you know. Photography by Ken Borgfeldt, David Heavner, Penny Longhurst, Jim Poling, Lucy Prim, Randy Richardson, & Joe Standaert. Click on any picture to zoom & enter the slide show. Plants that are non-native to North America are indicated by an asterisk (*) placed after the species name.
