Wildflower of the Week – Jim Poling
There are about 10 small clumps of this plant growing in my yard in Ayden, NC. I mowed around them to let them grow and bloom so they could be identified. I’m planning to transplant these clumps to a mulched area. Does this plant grow from a bulb?

Lucky you! The plant has tuberous rhizomes and is apparently quite easy to transplant.
