Fern Workshop – July 8, 2016

Dr. Larry Mellichamp led us on a wonderful Fern Workshop on the Nature Trail at the Pisgah Forest Visitor Center on July 8. Besides learning how to identify ferns, we also encountered plenty of Sticktites and Spice bushes. Thanks, Larry. We learned a lot!

While preparing the “Holiday Fest 2020” post, we realized we’d forgotten this field trip we made to Moore Cove Falls back in 2016. Since we’re all feeling a bit nostalgic, and we don’t have any other posts for Moore Cove, we figured better late than never!
