  1. The Lilium grayii in the photograph is wild. We do not disclose the location to protect the plants from poachers who are common in the area. The biggest stand of Lilium grayii is at Roan Mountain in Tennessee on the border with North Carolina. I enjoy seeing them each year, but it is illegal to harvest the seeds. Jim Poling

    I hope you don’t mind me contacting you. I live in New Zealand and collect Lilium species. I have grown a few different forms of grayi. But none as good as you photos. I have since lost mine. I am trying to locate seed of a vigorous form like in your photos. CanCan
