Buck Creek Serpentine Barrens – September 22, 2021

Some members visited the unique Buck Creek Serpentine Barrens on a very wet day, guided by Maria Dunlavey, a botanist with the U.S. Forest Service. Penny waited until the skies cleared before going! You can see that in Joe’s pictures the plants all look rather wet! More information on the Serpentine Barrens can be found here. Photography by Daudie & John Colson, Penny Longhurst, & Joe Standaert.
